Theme: Visions and description of Music Park
My vision for the Music Park.
The Music Park is a place for the general public to explore and to experience a variety of music styles and cultures in interactive way.
The Music Park will offer the visitors, a combination of several different types of music experiences. They can be broadly divided into two main types:active and passive participation.
By active participation experiences we mean to give an opportunity to the visitors themselves to play,sing,record and create music according to their ages and level of musical experience. In addition the visitors will be able to dance the dances of different periods and cultures.
By passive participation we mean audio and visual experiences such as listening to live and recorded music, watching performances of musicians and to be immersed in a wide varity of music genres in the Park's exhibitions. Later we will describe in more detail all the activities mentioned above.
1. Active participation
- A first attempt at playing a variety of musical instruments from around the world
- The opportunity to sing as the soloist with a band or as part of a choir.
- For musically experienced visitors we offer the possibility of playing and recording with a a live band or orchestra.
- Creating and recording music through using computer music programs.
2. Passive
participation.
- Listening to live music peformances from different genres such as classical music, rock and pop music, ethnic music, jazz
The park will be divided to several areas, such as: Rock; Pop;Jazz; Classical; Middle- east music;Japanese music; Indian music etc..., so that everybody can have an exciting musical experience and be expose to many different styles of music and music cultures.
Each of the areas will include a stage for life performances and a pavilion equipt with high tech facilities for interactive music experiences.
The center of the park will be organized as a place for visitors to have perhaps the first opportunity and experience of playing on a variety of different instruments. These musical experiences will take place in 10 transparent pods where music instructors will guide the participants.
The transparent walls will allow visitors to observe from outside while waiting their turn and will arouse their curiosity.
In addition to individual smaller stages the Park will include a main stage for multicultural concerts. I hope and expect that the top bands and orchestras will perform here regularly.
My vision is to deepen visitors musical understanding and to rise their musical appreciation and their love of music in general.
Theme: Music advantages
No matter where you are from, no matter what your native language is, you have experience with music. Music has the special ability to bring people together and sometimes to drive them apart, but there is more to music than just feel good emotions.
Music is a chance for individuals to understand one another more and respect the values that others hold.Music is special in its ability to tap into the very center of our beings.
